MDM8200 : World's first Chipset solution for HSPA+ Data Call

July 31,2008 : Qualcomm Incorporated , a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and data solutions, today announced that it has completed the world's first data call using High-Speed Packet Access Plus (HSPA+) network technology.

The call achieved a data transfer rate of more than 20 Mbps in a 5 MHz channel. HSPA+ will allow operators to double the data and triple the voice capacity of their networks compared to current HSPA deployments. Today's successful data throughput was achieved on Qualcomm's MDM8200(TM) product, the industry's first chipset solution for HSPA+.

"Today's call represents another milestone for Qualcomm in the evolution of the HSPA road map," said Alex Katouzian, vice president of product management, Qualcomm CDMA Technologies. "End users will enjoy quicker connections to the Internet with HSPA+ while network operators will appreciate the opportunity to offer more services to their subscribers."

HSPA+, also known as HSPA Evolved, is designed to enhance the mobile broadband user experience and enable a wide range of services. The technology delivers higher peak and average data rates, lower latency, better response times, longer battery life and an enhanced, always-on experience compared to the current generation of mobile networks.

The latest evolution of WCDMA technology, HSPA+ Release 7, will offer downlink data transfer rates of up to 28 Mbps and uplink rates of up to 11 Mbps. Future HSPA+ releases are expected to support downlink peak rates of 42-84 Mbps and uplink peak rates of 23 Mbps by using a variety of advanced techniques, including multiple carriers for transferring data. HSPA+ is backward compatible with prior generations of WCDMA and does not require new spectrum for deployment. Operators can leverage their existing network and spectrum resources to offer next-generation wireless bandwidth and performance.

Qualcomm's MDM8200 chipset is currently sampling to customers and supports deployments in existing frequency bands, as well as in the 900 MHz band and the 2.5 GHz IMT-2000 extension band.

Caste politics : Parties boasting about social justice (Political Situation in AP)

In Andhra Pradesh, during these 2009 elections a serious concern for every political party is boasting about Social Justice.

Every political party claims that they are the saviors of Social Justice.

As per these Political Parties giving more seats to certain caste/religion/tribe is called Social Justice.

So this time they gave more seats to certain communities to portray themselves as Saviors of Social Justice.

Of course, almost all the Political Parties in the namesake of doing Social Justice gave tickets only to corrupted candidates .Almost every candidate paid money to the respective parties to get B-forms and are buying votes by distributing money, gifts and liquor.

Will these kind of people after getting elected to Assembly can do good for the people and society ?

Do you think merely giving more seats to certain communities in Elections is called Social Justice ?

So what is Social Justice?
Social Justice refers to the concept of a society in which justice is achieved in every aspect of society, rather than merely the administration of law.(as per Wikipedia)

Then how can we achieve Social Justice ?

Do you know what is the caste of Asoka the Great - He ruled India for almost 40 years and often cited as one of the world's Greatest Emperors.
Do you know the caste of Mahatma Gandhi - Brought Independence for India by non-violence movement
Do you know the caste of Socrates - The best Philosopher ever
Do you know the caste of M.S.Swaminathan - Father of Green Revolution in India
Do you know the caste of Mother Teresa, Abraham Lincoln,Sir C.V.Raman, Jagadeesh Chandra Bose, Subhash Chandra Bose, Ramanujan, Aryabhatta, ..etc.

All these people helped the society through their actions and work. They didn't think that they need to help only certain sections of the society. They contributed to the society as a whole.

Instead of boasting about social justice, parties should boast about efficiency of candidates, good deeds they can do to people and society.

Party should concentrate on uplifting the entire society not just one caste or religion.

It doesn't matter whether a candidate belongs to certain caste or religion, what matters is whether that candidate can work efficiently for people and can bring honor to the post.

We can achieve Social Justice only by promoting TRUE LEADERS who are INCORRUPTIBLE , VISIONARY, HONEST and IDEALISTIC.

These are the people who can uplift the entire society.

These are the people we need to remove the partitions among our society.

These are the people required for our country to emerge as a global leader.

These are the people who can make every INDIAN proud .

We should encourage these kind of people to protect the integrity of our country.

Disclaimer : This is my personal opinion only and I didn't intend to hurt others feelings.

Political Snippets:

>>> Once again BJP promised in its manifesto that it will build RamMandir in Ayodhya.
( Is it worth constructing a temple with a loss of many lives ? I guess if Lord Rama was alive,he wouldn't allow a construction with many lives to spare.)

>>> Megastar Chiranjeevi, president of PRP proudly announced that they gave tickets to 104 BC candidates inorder to restore Social Justice.
(Parakala Prabhakar,X-spokesman of PRP said that out of those 104, 40 were not BC's.
In return to this Chiranjeevi challenged that he will quit politics if any one can prove that atleast 1of those 104 is not a BC.
As per Chiranjeevi's son, only 14 of them were not BC's. As per BC society, only 18 were not BC's)

>>> Y.S.Jaganmohan (Son of YSR,CM of AP) features in the India Today's list of best Entrepreneurs.

To Whom I should VOTE ?

Time to elect a Rightful Candidate (for every constituency) through General Elections has almost arrived and also the chance to cast my first vote.

So I started to think about the qualities of the candidate to whom I am going to cast my Vote and I came up with the following basic requirements.

1. He should be honest and shouldn't practice any law-violating activities.
2. His topmost priority should be our Country's welfare.
3. A clear idea on how he is going to develop his constituency.
4. Good leadership qualities.

But as soon as I started checking the candidates of various political parties,I came up with these characteristics.

a) Almost all contesting candidates has a sound bribery background.
b) Few of them were notorious criminals, but they are never convicted of any criminal offence.
c) Personal welfare is their only consideration.
d) Distributing money for vote (feels like it is an investment and can make profits for next 5 years).

Do these Candidates can take steps to provide Food,Clothes and Shelter to everyone ?
Do these Candidates can take right decisions on agriculture, irrigation, power, jobs, finance, foreign relations, industrial sector, technology, education, sports, culture...etc ?
Do these Candidates can take care of anti-social elements ?
(Most of the contesting candidates are anti-social elements)

I have only one answer for all the above questions. A big NO.

So all these Candidates are not eligible to rule a constituency and so I shouldn't vote for them.

Then To Whom I Should VOTE ?

I want Election Commission to modify Options in EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) such that one can cast a vote to none of the candidates.

Disclaimer : The above mentioned are only my opinions in a broader range. There are very few politicians who have all the requirements to rule a constituency .
I wonder whether these kind of politicians will constitute around 10%. Assume a total of 25,000 politicians all over India,Can 2500 be eligible ? (Estimating 5 contestants per constituency)

Very Few Facts to Show that FOR POWER THEY WILL DO ANYTHING:

1. Just for a mere reason of acquiring power, few regional parties agreed to split a state into two.
2. A party provided Television Sets to every Family,of course with Government Funds (Who the hell needs a Television,if people are starving for food)
3. Every party will start crying about poor, backward caste's and social justice just before elections.
